Problem
Europe faces a structural gap in flexible, energy-efficient, and sovereign manufacturing capacities for next-generation battery cells. While existing gigafactories are designed almost exclusively for high-volume electric vehicle production, they are poorly suited for safety-critical and strategic applications such as drones, medical technology, and defense. These use cases require smaller to mid-scale volumes, high process control, chemistry flexibility, and strict quality and security standards - capabilities that current production models cannot provide. As a result, Europe remains dependent on non-sovereign supply chains, limiting resilience, scalability, and strategic autonomy in critical battery technologies.Lösung
MANUGY enables a new paradigm of battery cell manufacturing tailored to safety-critical and strategic use cases. Our Hybrid Cell Manufacturing (HCM) approach delivers modular, highly automated, and energy-efficient production systems independent of gigafactory constraints. By combining configurable process modules, controlled minienvironments, and digital process monitoring, MANUGY allows secure, local, and resilient battery cell production across Europe and allied Western markets.Produkt
MANUGY’s core product is a modular production system for next-generation battery cells. The Hybrid Cell Manufacturing focuses on cell assembly within controlled mini-environments, supported by a digital monitoring and control layer. Customers can configure production lines precisely to their application, safety, and volume requirements - from pilot and pre-series production to scalable industrial deployment, while meeting the highest standards of quality, traceability, and process stability.Alleinstellung
MANUGY focuses on safety-critical, high-performance applications requiring flexibility, quality, and sovereignty rather than pure scale. Our modular architecture, mini-environment approach, and digital process control enable faster deployment, lower capital intensity, and superior process robustness. This positions MANUGY as a strategic enabler for independent battery production in sensitive and regulated domains.Geschäftsmodell
MANUGY develops modular mini-environment production systems for the manufacturing of next-generation battery cells and commercializes them through a hybrid model combining equipment sales, pay-per-use licensing, and long-term service contracts. Our platform enables customers to build highly flexible manufacturing capacities for different cell chemistries and formats—from pilot lines to scalable series production. In addition, we generate recurring revenues through process software, digital twins, maintenance, upgrades, as well as engineering and integration services.Traction / Highlights
